Roe Class

What a fabulous day Roe class had at the Woolley Animal Farm today! We were lucky to have the whole farm to ourselves and the children got to take part in a range of different farm related activities, including hand feeding animals and handling small animals, watching a dog show, meeting alpacas and llamas and ending our day with an exciting tractor and trailer ride. All children were extremely well behaved and had a fabulous day exploring the farm! A big thankyou to Fran for driving the Minibus, Miss Horrell for arranging the trip, Miss Wilson for coming along to help, and to our parent volunteer Mr. Cash.

Daily Mile

We recognise the value and positive impact the daily mile has on our pupils but unfortunately due to the adult support needed and the time constraints of the school day this is not possible in the way we did it before. Therefore we are considering an alternative, to meet with parents and pupils just before the start of school on a Monday morning for a walk around the village together and returning to school for 8:50. To work out whether this is something that would be of interest to our families can you please complete the form to express your interest, this doesn't commit you to anything but gives us an idea of how many families may be interested.

Piano Lessons

Piano lessons are available from year 2 upwards, they take place on Wednesday mornings for 10 weeks each term. The cost of each 20 minute lesson is £10.
If your child is interested please contact the office and we will put you in touch with Mandy.

Little Angels

The children have enjoyed learning all about Harvest this week. We have been reading the story Handa’s surprise by Eileen Browne, which the children really love listening to. We have focused on the local produce and how the climate and weather is affecting growing fruit and vegetables across the world. They have loved looking at tractors and the variety of machinery that is used on farms, they have visited the church and the farm and taken a moment to be grateful for all the food we are blessed to receive. A week full of gratefulness and value was had by all.

Congratulations
