Sika Class
Sika had a great day at Rosemoor gardens on Monday for our learning on our topic: sow, grow and farm. We had a 2 hour workshop on investigating plants. We learnt about the different parts of a plant, focusing on plant reproduction. We planted our own pea shoots and a cutting from a plant and we got to bring them both back to grow at home. We learnt about the history of Latin names for plants and animals.
|
At lunch time we enjoyed a lovely picnic and then we explored the beautiful gardens and lake. We finished off our day with a play in the park. Thank you to Tina and Emma for coming with us on the trip.

Sponsored Read
Thank you to all the children who have returned their sponsorship money. We have been so impressed with their determination and enthusiasm to raise money for our library. So far, with the sponsorship money and the book fair we have raised over £1000!!! Final figure to be announced soon.
|
All of this will go towards new books for our library and classes and we would like to say a massive well done and thank you to everyone that has contributed.

Well done to Margaux, Poppy, Bobby, Rowen, Oliver and Rupert who took part in a mixed Football event at Tiverton High on Thursday. We might not have won but they played very well and had lots of fun.

Little Angels
This week has been a colourful week as we discovered about rainbows, carrying out experiments, delving into technology, and reflecting on how our world has changed over the years. Our story of the week is called What makes a rainbow by Betty Ann Schwartz and illustrated by Dona Turner, full of colour, that we explored through art and creative designs.’
