Roe Class
In year 1 we have explored collagraphy. We had to make our own texture boards and it was fun to see the prints we created. We have been busy writing our own stories based around our story Syvia and Bird. We will share this with you at parents evening! We have started a mini theme on London. We have looked at maps, videos and photos to see what London looks like and recognise some of the famous landmarks.
|
In reception we have made new bridges to cross the river Thames. We enjoyed our walk around Rackenford and drew maps to record what we saw. We looked at photographs of colourful houses from around the world and are busy making our own from recycled materials.

We are always very busy in Roe class!

Roe Class also had an exciting visit to Quince Honey Farm on Friday. They dressed up as honey Bees, learnt how honey is made and then got the chance to taste some yummy Honey and make a candle to take home. We then had lunch in the play hive with a quick play in the soft play. We then went into the gardens to plant some Bee friendly seeds. We have had an AMAZING day.

Little Angels
This week the children have been making beautiful gifts and card for our wonderful families as we celebrate Mother’s Day. The staff and children have had such great fun dressing up for world book day, exploring stories and being imaginative. It has been a week full of laughter and kindness as the children have done cooking, been on walks, exploring story structure and been outside enjoying the sunshine!
